So what's in a watch anyway?  Is it just a timeless piece of beauty or prestige?  As much as every jewelry store tries to press these sentiments into our minds, the real reason we wear watches is because they save us from ourselves - they keep us from screwing the pooch on a regular basis.  If it wasn't that important board meeting you missed the day you forgot your watch, there must have been some other  point in time when you realized that your watch was your best friend.

I can't even tell you how many times my watch has kept me from "screwing the pooch."  In fact, so many times that I know have immense respect for timepieces.  Just as I am very discriminating is choosing my friends, I choose my watches with the same level of discriminating taste.

What's the most important piece of advice that your mother ever gave you?  Choose your friends wisely!  Next time you go to the store with the intention of picking up a new watch, don't make any quick decisions.  Line those babies up and pick the one that exemplifies your personal taste. The one you pick will tell a lot about you and the things that you depend upon, so choose wisely!
